About Steve's Perspective

I am a photographer continuing my studies through the Ottawa School of Art, School of the Photographic Arts Ottawa, and the New York Institute of Photography.

Based in Ottawa, Ontario, my interests lie within the broad scope of contemporary photography. More specifically, my goal is to amalgamate my experience, through studies, travelling and "everyday" social interaction, into my environmental portraiture, architecture and landscape photography.

I hold a Bachelor of Science degree from Memorial University of Newfoundland and a diploma in Architectural Engineering Technology which I received from the College of the North Atlantic. My attention to technique and perspective are a testament to this technical background.

With an attitude influenced by photojournalism and my passion for "freezing" moments in time, my hope is that my photos can trigger an emotional response from the viewer. Whether that be purely through visual aesthetic, a recognized theme familiar to the viewer or perhaps an image that can simply surpass the confines of the usual "snapshot".
